From Monday, June 1, Turkey begins a gradual resumption of domestic flights.
This was announced by the Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Adil Karaismailoglu, informs the correspondent of Ukrinform in Turkey.
“Two months after the termination of the flight, the first flight will be operated from Istanbul to Ankara, at 10.00 local time from Istanbul Airport to Esenbog,” the minister said.
According to him, the resumption of air traffic became possible due to a decrease in the spread of coronavirus.
The first flights on domestic routes will be made from Istanbul to Ankara, Izmir, Antalya and Trabzon. Also, over time, they will gradually resume flights from other airports. All airports underwent restructuring in accordance with the new requirements of the certification program aimed at minimizing the risk to the health of passengers and personnel, and preventing the spread of coronavirus.
Airplanes from Istanbul Airport will depart for Antalya at 11.15, Trabzon at 13.00, Izmir at 14.10.
As it was reported, due to the threat of the spread of coronavirus for air travel in Turkey, rules are being introduced that will be mandatory during the flight, in particular, hand luggage cannot be taken on board, and the boarding and disembarkation of passengers will be clearly streamlined. All passengers must be masked, all transactions for payment to the maximum transferred online and other events.
